Despite those words, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually recognized for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul instead attacked ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK rival Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's present here," the boxer commented.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Paul's Background

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

However, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, regularly earning massive earnings.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in rounds four or five and claimed he would stop the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently being planned for 2026.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.

Size Disparity

As both boxers met for the traditional confrontation, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it highlighted just how surprising this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is truly going ahead.
